Bible Study & Prayers (9:30am)
The Monday morning Prayer Group now meet from 9.30 to 10.30 for Bible Study and Prayer. Our lovely Prayer Tree has been and still is a great blessing. It has been used not only by worshippers but also by various people who come to other events, such as coffee mornings and concerts. Everybody is welcome to write a Prayer for the tree at any time. The Prayer Group include these prayers when they meet on Mondays.
There may be occasions when you need prayer but do not wish it to appear on the Prayer Tree. In those cases please let Andrew or Ruth Watson know, and if you wish they will pass your concerns on to the Prayer Group.
We especially remember the pastoral needs of our Church family; those we know who are ill or recovering from illness; those we know who are sad or lonely; those who, for whatever reason, cannot be with us at Church for our Sunday services; our Minister & those who serve this Church; those in our community & the wider world who face struggles & hardship, who carry burdens & are overwhelmed by the day to day events in their lives, who need God’s comfort, healing & love.
Items and events which appear in the church notices are covered and we regularly use the Methodist Prayer Handbook for inspiration. We pray for the well-being of all in our community, particularly for those in sickness or in financial difficulties, and always welcome any special prayer requests that people may have. Anyone is welcome to come along either to drop in or to join us on a regular basis.
