Called to serve God by increasing awareness of His presence and declaring His love

JAM

Our Youth Group, JAM, has been running since we held a Youth Alpha course several years ago. We had such fun that we all decided to carry on under the name JAM (Jesus And Me: spread it around!) and now we meet every Sunday evening during term time, from 6.30pm to 8pm. Anyone in Year 7 (first year at Secondary School) up to sixth form (Year 11) is welcome to come along and join in whatever is going on!

This group has seen a large increase in numbers with an average of 20 young people on a Sunday evening. There are a large number of younger adults attending and the leaders have decided to split the JAM members into 2 sections, with the older ones having more serious discussions, and following Youth Alpha, whilst the younger ones have games before coming together for a more formal time.

We meet in the Upper Room at Church, which has been specially laid out for the youth group, with comfy sofas, our own artwork and plenty of room for snacks! We also use the hall for fun and games on a regular basis. Our combination of relaxed chat, discussion of real life issues, getting to know the Bible and having fun together is popular with both boys and girls. We also organise trips out to Christian gigs and concerts, events, and weekends away.

Parents will be glad to know that all our leaders are CRB checked and that we have safeguarding policies in place to make sure we all have a good time in a safe environment. Our youth services are open to parents and anyone else who would like to come along.

Feel free to pop in and see us any time. We look forward to welcoming you!
