Called to serve God by increasing awareness of His presence and declaring His love

Our Tuesday night Fellowship group is now known as the ‘OASIS’ group. This is to reflect the place of rest from the ‘busyness’ of the day and also the nourishment we receive through  discussion and time  spent together in God’s Word.

As we begin to look at our third Holy Habit, we are challenged as a Church, to think about what we really mean by the phrase ‘Gladness & Generosity’. The church was born in Gladness: Gladness for what God had done through the life, death & resurrection of Jesus; Gladness at the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost. There was Gladness in the home, in the Temple & out on the streets. In presenting his portrait of the Christian community, Luke notes in Acts that they had glad & generous hearts. Gladness & Generosity is a joyous & a challenging Holy Habit. It has celebratory aspects   which can be a light to others. It is often in the darkest places that the light of Gladness or joy shines most brightly. As we explore the challenges represented by Generosity, let’s remember that we are called to be generous with all we are & have & grace is expressed in generosity & forgiveness. This takes us to the very heat of the Gospel message – Gladness & Generosity is a Christian way of life.

We are always keen to see new faces, whether you are able to attend each week or occasionally – you will receive a warm welcome in the Upper Room at the back of the Church.
