Forget Me Not Cafe

A new memory café is being set up to offer friendship and support to those in our community who have concerns about their memory or the memory of a loved one or friend. The “Forget Me Not Café” will run monthly on Tuesdays at Stokesley Methodist Church and is run by trained volunteers supported by health professionals.

We aim to provide an opportunity for participants to meet regularly with others who have memory problems and their carers, and give an opportunity to exchange experiences and to give and receive emotional support.

This free café is open to everyone and will run from 2pm to 3.30pm TODAY. We aim to offer light conversation, music, games and other activities – please feel free to make suggestions! There is ample free parking directly outside the church on Stokesley High Street, on a 2 hour disc, and there is a wheelchair ramp for easy access to the building. The church has recently been refurbished and has a disabled toilet in the foyer which is easy to access.

Please come along and support this new venture and let others know there is a friendly face and a listening ear on your doorstep.
